Settlement for Environmental Contamination

Approximately 500 clients in New Jersey will receive monies in a settlement arising out of a chemical company’s past pollution. The settlement, which provides for medical monitoring and monies paid for personal injuries and property damage sustained individually, was litigated by Michael Gordon.

For over two years, our office pursued this litigation aggressively. We conducted numerous depositions of company representatives and defended our plaintiff depositions. We also successfully argued 15 motions that permitted our case to proceed in state court rather than federal court, which is where the defendants wanted it.

The case involved the contamination of drinking water wells with trichloreothane (TCE) and radioactive waste that was deposited throughout the community.
