A $148,680 plus medical bills Worker's Compensation

Our client was delivering bundles of newspapers.

While delivering the bundles of papers, our client suffered a heart attack. Our client's employer and their attorneys denied that his heart attack was work related and refused to offer anything for his workers compensation claim. Steven Schepps took our client's case to trial which included a grueling cross examination of the employer's medical/cardiac expert that took place for 5 days. After the completion of testimony and trial, the Judge found that our client's heart attack was work related and found that he suffered permanent cardiac and psychiatric disability. The Judge ordered the employer to pay our client a gross award of $148,680* as well as to pay our client's past and future medical bills that are related to his heart attack.
