Steven L. Schepps is a senior trial attorney with Gordon & Gordon and has been concentrating in personal injury law for over 16 years. Mr. Schepps heads the firm’s Workers Compensation and Social Security Disability practice areas. 
Mr. Schepps has successfully tried to verdict numerous jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations in the Superior Court, Federal District Court, Division of Workers Compensation, municipal courts, PIP Arbitrations and Federal Social Security Disability hearings throughout the State of New Jersey. Mr. Schepps has also appeared before the Appellate Division and was part of the team that appeared before the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
Mr. Schepps also concentrates in Environmental/Mass Toxic Tort, Land Use and Municipal Court/Traffic Litigation. He has assisted in representing several Municipalities, the State of New Jersey, individuals, communities and environmental organizations who have been injured as a result of environmental contamination. Mr. Schepps has successfully represented clients against investment brokers in arbitration. Mr. Schepps has served as Planning Board Attorney for the Township of West Orange and sits as an arbitrator on UM/UIM cases. Through his tireless efforts for Gordon & Gordon’s clients, Mr. Schepps has recovered millions of dollars in verdicts, settlements and awards.
Mr. Schepps was recently recognized by the N.J. Supreme Court who issued him a certificate for his service on the district ethics committee for his “selfless and untiring contribution of time and talent in his performance of his duties,” the Supreme Court went on to note that “the Judiciary, the legal system and the citizens of New Jersey are assured a higher degree of accountability, legal competence and ethical conduct from those who serve the public in the practice of law.” The district ethics committees investigate and prosecute ethics cases involving New Jersey attorneys. Mr. Schepps recently completed a four year term for the District VC Attorney Ethics committee for which he was appointed to by the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Steven L. Schepps was born in New York and
grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ. Mr. Schepps graduated from George Mason
University in 1990 where he received a B.A. degree in Economics where he
studied under Nobel Prize winning professors and was a member of the
Dean’s List. Mr. Schepps received his law degree from Quinnipiac
University School of Law in 1994, where he was recognized for
outstanding academic achievement.. Mr. Schepps is admitted to practice
law in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and The United States District Court of
New Jersey. He is also a member of the New Jersey Association of
